Candidates for the Registered Dental Hygienist position must:
- Possess required license/certifications for RDH.
- Possess skill in maximizing productivity and efficiency of hygiene schedules.
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination.
- Sterilize dental instruments properly.
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history.
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis.
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride).
- Possess skill in dental practice management software, MS Word, and basic computer navigation.
- Demonstrate a cheerful and positive approach to teaching patients about oral hygiene and care.
- Demonstrate skill in collaborating with doctors and other team members.
- Possess excellent oral and written communications skills, be able to multi-task, and deliver proficient care.
- Experience working as a dental hygienist for at least 1-year a plus.
The dental assistant will assist the Dentist in both administrative and clinical duties including, but no limited to preparing patient for procedure or exam, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist during dental procedures. Provide patient and practice support services, including, but not limited to, personal assistance and medical attention. The ideal candidate thrives on organization and understands the value of supporting the team and providing superior service to our valued patients.
Job Duties:
- Assist with dental and medical emergencies according to OSHA and office procedures.
- Assist chair side during administration of nitrous oxide.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
- Clean and polish removable appliances.
- Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
- Record treatment information in patient records.
- Expose dental diagnostic x-rays.
- Actively provide hand instruments and materials as needed to Dentist during exams and procedures to help maintain patient comfort and Dentist’s efficiency.
- Using and maintaining hazard control protocols as established by OSHA and office standards.
- Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies.
- Must be able to handle multiple deadlines and tasks.
- Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.
Candidates for the Dental Assistant position must:
- Possess required license/certifications for Certified Dental Assistant (passed DANB) a plus.
- Possess required license/certifications for CPR, nitrous oxide monitoring, and x-rays.
- Have experience working as a dental assistant for at least 1-year.
- Possess skill in dental practice management software, MS Word, and basic computer navigation.
The patient coordinator needs excellent interpersonal communication skills to contribute to the team and communicate calmly and reassuringly with patients. The ideal candidate thrives on organization, attention to detail, and understands the value of supporting the team and providing superior service to our valued patients.
Job Duties:
- Skill in navigating and proficiently utilizing practice software systems.
- Skill in maintaining busy hygiene and doctor schedules according to prescribed protocols.
- Operate multiple telephone lines to answer, screen, and forward calls, provide information, take messages and schedule appointments.
- Skilled in collecting and entering complete patient demographic and insurance information with accuracy.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Check-in and check-out patients, collect payments, and schedule appointments.
- File, scan, and maintain records.
- Collect, sort, distribute, and prepare mail, messages, and courier deliveries.
- Balance credit transactions and provide basic financial clerical support duties.
- Assist with obtaining information from patients’ insurance provider(s) as needed.
- Actively pursues providing excellent patient service.
- Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
- Must be able to handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.
- Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.
Candidates for the Patient Coordinator position must:
- Have at least one-year experience as a front desk receptionist in a busy dental office
- Have at least one-year experience in a customer service role.
- Possess skill in dental practice management software.
- Have excellent attention to detail, organizational and follow-through skills.
