Laurinburg is about 43 miles south of our practice. That is a real drive, roughly an hour each way on US-401 through Raeford. For most dental work, it would not make sense. For All-On-Four, where the operator placing the implants determines whether the result lasts a decade or fails in two years, the credentialing matters more than the convenience.

This page covers what All-On-Four actually is, who is performing the procedure here, what it costs, and how patients from Laurinburg typically structure their treatment around the drive. The practice is at 6402 Yadkin Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303. Direct line: (910) 864-4646. Free consultations available.

Why the Drive Is Worth Considering

Scotland County has general dentists. It does not have a provider with the credentialing depth that full-arch implant work rewards. For a $20,000 to $30,000 procedure where the long-term result depends almost entirely on the experience and technique of the person placing the four implants, the answer to "should I drive an hour" is usually yes.

Two things make All-On-Four different from most dental procedures in how heavily it depends on the operator. First, the angled placement of the implants is a precision step. The angles are chosen based on your specific bone anatomy. Get them wrong and the prosthesis sits incorrectly, or the implants do not integrate, or the bite balance fails. Second, the temporary prosthesis is fitted to the implants the same day as the surgery, which requires the design and the placement to be coordinated as one decision rather than two. That kind of coordinated full-arch work is what high-credential implant specialists do all day.

The drive becomes a sensible trade-off when you reframe it. You are making roughly three round trips for the major appointments (consultation, surgery, final fitting), plus three or four briefer check-in visits during the healing window. Across a four-to-six-month treatment course, that is a

Who Performs Your Surgery

Dr. Jeremiah C. Davis holds:

  • Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), held by less than 2 percent of general dentists in the US and Canada.
  • Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (MICOI).
  • Master of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO).
  • Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (FAAID).
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology (DABOI/ID), held by only eight dentists in North Carolina.
  • Surgical Master of the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy, held by only eight dentists in the United States.
  • Dawson Academy Scholar.

He holds a DDS from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler. Before founding The Teeth Doctors™, he served as a captain in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division. In 2021 he was named to Incisal Edge magazine's "40 Under 40" list of America's best young dentists.

The same provider performs your consultation, your surgery, and your follow-up. There is no hand-off between someone you saw and someone you have not met. For a multi-month treatment course an hour from home, the continuity matters more than for a short-drive procedure.

How the Procedure Works

Four titanium implants are placed in each arch (upper, lower, or both depending on your case). They are positioned at specific angles to use the densest available bone in the front of your jaw. A temporary fixed prosthesis is attached to the implants the same day. You walk out of the practice with teeth.

The temporary is worn for three to six months while the implants fuse with your jawbone. Once fusion is complete, the permanent prosthesis is fitted. From that point on, the prosthesis is fixed in your mouth. You brush it like teeth. You eat what you want. You do not take it out at night.

Your Treatment Timeline

Free Consultation

90 minutes. Cone-beam CT imaging, clinical exam, treatment plan, exact cost estimate, and a review of sedation and financing options. You leave with a clear picture of your case. Many Laurinburg patients pair the consultation with another Fayetteville errand on the same day.

Surgery and Same-Day Teeth

Implants placed and temporary prosthesis fitted in a single visit. Three to four hours per arch. IV sedation is offered for patients who want to be asleep through the procedure. If you pick IV sedation, you will need a driver for the trip home.

Healing Window

Three to six months for the implants to fuse with your jawbone. Temporary prosthesis worn throughout. Soft-food diet for the first 8 to 12 weeks. Three to four brief check-ins during this period, each 15 to 30 minutes.

Final Prosthesis

Once fusion is complete, the permanent prosthesis is fitted. Twice-yearly maintenance from this point on.

What All-On-Four Costs

Fixed Acrylic, Starting at $20,000 per Arch

Includes complete oral evaluation, cone-beam CT scan, four implants, the fixed acrylic bridge, and the full course of care.

Fixed Zirconia, Starting at $30,000 per Arch

Same components, with a zirconia prosthesis substituted. Zirconia is more durable, more stain-resistant, and visually closer to natural enamel.

Payment options:

  • Dental insurance benefits where applicable. We verify your coverage in advance.
  • CareCredit financing across 24 to 60 months for the patient share.
  • The Friends and Family Membership Plan, our in-house option for patients without insurance.

We do not publish a single flat price because individual cases vary based on whether extractions are needed, whether one arch or both, and which prosthesis material you pick. The consultation gives you a specific number.

Sedation Options

IV sedation is the most common choice for All-On-Four patients. You are in a sleep-like state for the duration of the procedure and you do not remember it afterward. Oral sedation is a lighter option taken as a pill before the appointment. Local anesthesia is administered in every case regardless of sedation route. If you pick IV sedation, plan for a driver for the trip back to Laurinburg.

Driving From Laurinburg

The practice is at 6402 Yadkin Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303. From Laurinburg the drive runs about 43 miles and takes 51 to 58 minutes depending on traffic.

The fastest route is US-Four01 North out of Laurinburg, through Raeford, and into Fayetteville. As you approach Fayetteville, US-Four01 connects to the I-295 outer loop (Fayetteville Outer Loop). Take I-295 West (the Outer Loop) to the All American Freeway exit, then south to Santa Fe Drive, then connect to Yadkin Road. The practice is on Yadkin Road. About 52 minutes door to door.

An alternate route uses US-15/501 North from Laurinburg toward Aberdeen, then NC-211 East through Raeford and into Fayetteville. This route is slightly longer in time, about 60 to 65 minutes, but is useful if there is construction on US-Four01.

Free on-site parking. Ground-floor entrance, no stairs. Long-distance patients are welcome to use the lobby for an extra few minutes before and after appointments.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is it really worth driving 50 minutes for All-On-Four?

For most dental work, no. For All-On-Four, the credentialing of the operator is the single biggest factor in whether the result lasts. The credentials behind this practice (Master of three implant-dentistry organizations, plus FAAID, DABOI/ID, and Surgical Mastery honors held by fewer than ten dentists in the country) are unusual enough to make the drive worth considering. The consultation is free, so the first visit costs you only the time.

Q: Can we schedule multiple appointments in one day to reduce trips?

Yes, where it makes clinical sense. The surgery day cannot be paired with much else for safety reasons (especially if you are under IV sedation), but the consultation can sometimes be paired with imaging or a same-day quote. The brief check-in visits during the healing window are short enough that they can often be scheduled at the end of the workday to keep total time down.

Q: What does the consultation involve, and is it really free?

Yes, the consultation is free. It runs 90 minutes and includes a full clinical exam, cone-beam CT imaging of your jaw, a treatment plan with exact pricing, and time for questions. You leave with a clear picture of what your case requires and what it would cost. You commit to nothing.

Q: What happens at the brief check-in appointments during healing?

A quick clinical look at how the implants are integrating, an inspection of the temporary prosthesis for any wear or fit issues, and a chance for you to ask questions. Most check-ins run 15 to 30 minutes. If everything looks good, you are back on the road.

Q: How is post-surgery recovery handled when I am an hour away?

We supply detailed written instructions for the first 24 to 72 hours, plus a direct contact line for any issues. Most post-surgery questions can be handled by phone. If something requires an in-person look, we work you in quickly. The first post-surgery check-in is scheduled close to surgery day so you do not have to wonder about how things are going during the first week.

Q: Will I see Dr. Davis himself at every appointment, or different providers?

Dr. Davis performs your consultation, your surgery, and your final prosthesis fitting personally. The brief check-ins during healing may sometimes involve a member of the clinical team confirming that your implants are integrating as expected, but Dr. Davis is the provider directing your treatment from start to finish. For full-arch implant work, continuity of provider is what makes the difference.
