Sanford sits about 36 miles north of our practice on Yadkin Road. The drive runs roughly 45 to 50 minutes down NC-87 South. For All-On-Four, a procedure where the operator placing the implants determines whether the result lasts a decade or fails in two years, the credentialing is what makes the drive sensible.
This page covers what All-On-Four is, who is performing the procedure here, what it costs, and how the timeline runs for patients driving from Sanford and the broader Lee County area. Address: 6402 Yadkin Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303. Direct line: (910) 864-4646. Free consultations available.
Why Sanford Patients Drive South for This Procedure
Sanford patients researching All-On-Four often have two or three options closer to home (some in Sanford itself, others in the Raleigh-Durham area to the north). The Triangle has high-volume dental practices, but the specific credentialing depth that full-arch implant work rewards is concentrated in a small number of providers. The combination of Master-level credentials from three implant-dentistry organizations, plus a Diplomate certification held by only eight dentists in North Carolina, is unusual at any distance.
For most patients, the decision comes down to weighing the drive against the credentialing. A 45 to 50 minute drive several times across a four to six month treatment course is a meaningful but bounded time commitment for a procedure you live with for the next 10 to 20 years.
Who Performs Your Surgery
Dr. Jeremiah C. Davis holds:
- Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), held by less than 2 percent of general dentists in the US and Canada.
- Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (MICOI).
- Master of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO).
- Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (FAAID).
- Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology (DABOI/ID), held by only eight dentists in North Carolina.
- Surgical Master of the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy, held by only eight dentists in the United States.
- Dawson Academy Scholar.
He holds a DDS from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler. Before founding The Teeth Doctors™, he served as a captain in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division. In 2021 he was named to Incisal Edge magazine's "40 Under 40" list of America's best young dentists.
The same provider performs your consultation, your surgery, and your follow-up across the entire treatment course. For multi-month implant work, that continuity is what produces consistent outcomes.
What All-On-Four Does
All-On-Four replaces an entire arch of teeth (upper, lower, or both) using four titanium implants placed at specific angles in your jawbone. The angled placement uses the densest available bone in the front of the jaw, which means the procedure works in cases where traditional implants would have required bone grafting or would have been ruled out for insufficient bone.
A temporary fixed prosthesis is attached to the four implants on the same day as your surgery. You walk out of the practice with teeth. The temporary is worn for three to six months while the implants fuse with your jawbone, then the permanent prosthesis is fitted. From that point on, the prosthesis stays in your mouth. You brush it like teeth. You eat what you want. You do not take it out at night.
Your Treatment Timeline
Free Consultation
90 minutes. Cone-beam CT imaging, full clinical exam, treatment plan, exact cost estimate, and a review of sedation and financing options. You leave with a clear picture of your case. The consultation is free.
Surgery and Same-Day Teeth
Implants placed and temporary prosthesis fitted in a single visit. Three to four hours per arch. IV sedation is offered for patients who want to be asleep through the procedure. If you choose IV sedation, you will need a driver for the trip back to Sanford.
Healing Window
Three to six months for the implants to fuse with your jawbone. Temporary prosthesis worn throughout. Three to four brief check-ins during the period, each 15 to 30 minutes.
Final Prosthesis
Once fusion is complete, the permanent prosthesis is fitted. Twice-yearly maintenance from this point on.
What All-On-Four Costs

Includes complete oral evaluation, cone-beam CT scan, four implants, the fixed acrylic bridge, and the full course of care.
Fixed Zirconia, Starting at $30,000 per Arch
Same components, with a zirconia prosthesis substituted. Zirconia is more durable, more stain-resistant, and visually closer to natural enamel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why drive south to Fayetteville when Raleigh-Durham is closer for some Sanford residents?
For most dental work, the Triangle has good options. For All-On-Four specifically, the credentialing depth at this practice is unusual at any distance. The Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology credential is held by only eight dentists in North Carolina, and the Surgical Master of IDEA credential is held by only eight in the entire United States. The case-volume focus on full-arch implant work matches the credentialing. The drive to Fayetteville is comparable to most Triangle drive times for similarly credentialed providers, and the focus on this specific procedure tends to be deeper at a practice where it is the central service.
Q: Can I see treatment cost estimates before I make the drive?
We do not publish flat prices because individual cases vary based on extractions needed, single arch versus both, and prosthesis material. What we can do before your consultation is have a phone conversation about your specific situation that gives you a working cost range, which most patients find useful for deciding whether to schedule the in-person consultation.
Q: What does the consultation involve?
A 90-minute appointment. A full clinical exam, cone-beam CT imaging of your jaw, a treatment plan, an exact cost estimate based on your imaging, and a review of sedation and financing options. You leave with a clear picture of what your case requires and what it would cost. The consultation is free.
Q: How are prescriptions and post-op care handled at a distance?
Post-surgery prescriptions are sent to your pharmacy of choice in Sanford or nearby. Detailed written post-op instructions cover the first 24 to 72 hours, and we provide a direct contact line for any concerns. Most post-op questions are handled by phone. If something requires an in-person look, we work you in quickly.
Q: Will my Sanford-area dentist coordinate with you for routine cleanings after treatment?
Yes, and many of our Sanford patients keep their existing general dentist for routine cleanings while continuing with us for implant-specific follow-ups. After your final prosthesis is fitted, we provide documentation of what is in your mouth so your local dentist understands how to clean around it.
Q: Is the consultation itself worth the drive if I am still researching?
That is a fair question. If you are still gathering information and have not narrowed down to one or two providers, a phone call may make more sense as a starting point. We are happy to do an initial phone conversation to walk through the procedure and the rough cost range before you commit to the drive for an in-person consultation.
