A Veteran-Owned Practice at the Edge of the Installation

Dr. Jeremiah Davis is a US Army veteran. Our practice sits on Yadkin Road, a few minutes from the All American Gate and Reilly Road Gate. For most Fort Liberty patients, we are closer than the dental options inside the installation that you can actually book quickly. The drive is short. The familiarity with how military life works is something the page next to ours probably does not have.

How We Work With Active-Duty, Retiree, and Family Patients

Three groups of patients walk in from the installation, and each has a different question to answer first.

Active-duty soldiers

You probably have access to military dental, but getting a denture or implant case scheduled through the system can run long. Some patients pay out of pocket or use Tricare to come to us specifically because the timeline is shorter and the case stays with one provider. We coordinate with your unit dental team if needed.

Retirees

A lot of our denture and implant patients are retirees who served at Fort Bragg / Fort Liberty in the 70s, 80s, 90s, or 2000s and stayed in the area. Decades of MRE-era dental wear, deferred care during deployments, or earlier dental work that has reached the end of its useful life. We see this story constantly. The treatment plans are individual; the framing is familiar.

Spouses and dependents

Family members on Tricare Dental coverage have a different set of options than active-duty service members. We will tell you what is covered, what your out-of-pocket would be, and what financing looks like if the case exceeds what insurance picks up.

Denture Options for Service Members

Implant-Supported Dentures (Snap-In and All-on-4)

Most Fort Liberty patients who come to us for dentures end up with implant-supported work. Two implants in your lower jaw stop a slipping denture. Four implants per arch with a fixed bridge (All-on-4) means a permanent set of teeth that you brush like natural ones and eat anything with. The All-on-4 protocol delivers the first set of teeth on the same day as your extractions when bone allows, which matters for patients on a deployment timeline or pre-retirement schedule.

Full and Partial Dentures

We make traditional full dentures and partials in the same office. Cast metal, flexible (Valplast), and acrylic versions of partials. The right type depends on which teeth you have left and what your case needs. Not every patient needs implants, and we will tell you when a well-made conventional denture is the right answer.

Immediate Dentures for Pre-Deployment or Pre-Retirement Cases

If you have a deployment, a PCS, or a retirement date and need extractions plus a denture before then, immediate dentures go in the same day as the extractions. We can usually compress the timeline if the case allows. Talk to us early in your planning so we have time to coordinate.

Dr. Davis's Implant Credentials

Five master-level and board credentials in implant and general dentistry:

  • Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD)
  • Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (FAAID)
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry (DABOI/ID)
  • Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (MICOI)
  • Master of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO)

The DABOI/ID is the gold standard board certification for implant dentistry in the United States and is held by a small percentage of dentists nationally. Combined with the MAGD, FAAID, MICOI, and AO mastership, this is roughly ten years of post-dental-school continuing education and supervised case work specifically focused on dental implants and full-arch restoration. For a complex case (a full-arch reconstruction, a failed implant from another office, extensive bone loss requiring grafting), this depth of training matters.

Sedation Options

Three options depending on the procedure and your medical history:

  • Nitrous oxide: wears off fast; you can drive yourself home. Good for shorter visits and mild anxiety.
  • Oral sedation: a pill before your appointment. You will need a driver.
  • IV sedation: for full-arch implant placement, complex grafting, or serious dental anxiety. You sleep through the procedure and you will need a driver.

Fort Liberty Patient FAQs

Can I use Tricare for dentures and implants here?

We do not currently bill Tricare directly, but you can submit our itemized bill to Tricare for partial reimbursement.

Will my VA dental benefits cover this?

VA dental coverage is limited by service-connection rating and category. The honest answer is to verify the patient's eligibility category and act accordingly.

Is Dr. Davis still affiliated with the military?

Dr. Davis is a US Army veteran. He is no longer on active duty but continues to see military patients in private practice.

I have a deployment in 4 months. Can you finish a full-arch case before then?

Sometimes yes, depending on your bone health and whether grafting is needed. Same-day All-on-4 protocols can deliver a fixed set of teeth on the day of extractions. Final zirconia bridges typically follow 3 to 6 months later. Tell us your timeline at the consultation and we will be honest about what is realistic.

Do you treat dependents?

Yes. We see family members, spouses, and dependent children for the full range of dental services, not only dentures.
