Removable, implant-supported, and All-on-4 dentures from a board-certified implant dentist for patients in Southern Pines and Moore County.

For Southern Pines Patients Considering Dentures

Southern Pines has a real downtown, a working-age population alongside the well-known retirement community, and several family dental practices. For routine dentistry you have good local options. Where this page comes in is the work that often gets referred out: implant-supported dentures, full-arch reconstruction, and revision of previous implant cases.

We are 37 miles east in Fayetteville. The drive is real. So is the case for making it when your situation calls for an implant-focused practice rather than a generalist.

When the drive to Fayetteville pays off

For routine cleanings, fillings, and standard removable dentures, stay close to home. Southern Pines has practices that handle these well. The drive does not pay back.

For implant-supported dentures, All-on-4, full-arch reconstruction, or a redo of a previous implant case, the calculation changes. These procedures need a dentist with specific board certification, advanced imaging equipment, and steady case volume. Most general dentists refer these out anyway. We are the kind of practice they refer to.

Getting Here From Southern Pines

Southern Pines to our office at 6402 Yadkin Road is about 37 miles and roughly 50 minutes, depending on the route and time of day.

The most direct route runs east on NC-211 through Pinehurst, Aberdeen, and Vass, then connects to Bragg Boulevard heading into Fayetteville. NC-211 is a two-lane highway through most of its length. Plan extra buffer for slow traffic outside of rush hour.

An alternate route via US-15-501 South then US-1 South is a few miles longer but uses higher-speed roads for more of the trip. For weekday morning appointments the alternate route sometimes wins.

The practice is on Yadkin Road in the Bonnie Doone area of northwest Fayetteville, near the Fort Liberty perimeter. Use your GPS for live traffic and the final approach.

Dr. Davis's Implant Credentials

For implant work, the credentials that matter are these: Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (FAAID), Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology (DABOI/ID), Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (MICOI), and Master of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO). Dr. Davis holds all five.

The DABOI/ID specifically is the gold standard board certification for implant dentistry in the United States, held by a small percentage of dentists nationally. Combined with the four mastership credentials and Dawson Academy scholar training, this represents about a decade of post-dental-school continuing education focused on dental implants and full-arch restoration.

Dr. Davis is also a US Army veteran. For Southern Pines patients with a military background or family connection, that connection often matters.

Denture Options

Removable full and partial dentures

Traditional removable dentures replace upper, lower, or both arches. Partial dentures fill in gaps when you still have some natural teeth. We design these to fit your bite, your face shape, and your budget. Plan on a few adjustments in the first six months as your gums settle.

Implant-supported dentures

If you have worn traditional dentures and dealt with looseness or rocking, implant-supported dentures fix that. We place dental implants in your jaw and anchor your denture to them. Some snap on and off for cleaning. Some are fixed permanently.

All-on-4 and full-arch

All-on-4 is one approach to fixed implant-supported dentures: four implants per arch hold a complete fixed set of teeth. The angled placement of the rear implants often lets the prosthetic use the bone you still have, sometimes avoiding the need for grafting. Whether All-on-4 is right for your case depends on bone density, your bite, and your overall health. We do a 3D CBCT scan at consultation and tell you specifically what your case needs.

Cost, Insurance, and Financing

We give you a written estimate at the consultation, before any treatment starts. We accept most major dental insurance plans (call to confirm yours). For uninsured patients, our Friends and Family Membership Plan covers preventive care and offers a discount on procedures. CareCredit financing is available for cases where insurance does not cover the full balance.

Sedation Options

We offer three sedation options:

  • Oral sedation: a pill before your appointment. You stay awake but relaxed. Plan for a driver, especially given the drive home.
  • Nitrous oxide: wears off within minutes. You can drive yourself home.
  • IV sedation: for full-arch implant placement, complex grafting, or serious dental anxiety. You sleep through the procedure and need a driver.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I drive to Fayetteville for routine denture work?

For a standard removable denture, probably not. Moore County has experienced general dentists. The drive does not pay back for routine work. We will tell you that honestly at consultation if your case is in that category.

What about implant-supported dentures or All-on-4?

That is where the drive starts to make sense. These are surgical procedures that benefit from advanced training and case experience, and most general dentists refer them out. We do extractions, implant placement, denture fabrication, and follow-up care all in our Fayetteville office.

How long does the All-on-4 process take?

Plan on 3 to 6 months from consultation to the final permanent prosthetic. Same-day temporary teeth on the day of implant placement are an option for many cases. The final permanent prosthetic goes on after the implants integrate.

How much do dentures cost?

Costs depend on the type of denture, materials, whether you need extractions or grafting first, and sedation needs. We give you a written estimate at the consultation. We do not quote prices over the phone because every case differs.

Can you handle a redo of a previous implant case?

Yes. Failed-implant and revision cases are a regular part of what we do. We will need imaging from your original case if you have it, or new 3D imaging at the consultation. We tell you what is salvageable and what is not before any treatment starts.
