Removable, implant-supported, and All-on-4 dentures from a board-certified implant dentist 25 minutes east of Raeford.

Why Raeford Patients Drive 25 Minutes for Dentures

Most Raeford residents already drive into Fayetteville regularly for shopping, work, healthcare, or to visit Fort Liberty. The trip from downtown Raeford to our office on Yadkin Road is about 25 minutes via NC-401. For most patients, this fits inside their existing commute pattern.

What you get for the trip is access to a dentist who has spent the last decade focused on implant dentistry and full-arch reconstruction, plus the ability to do extractions, implant placement, denture fabrication, and follow-up care all in one office. You do not bounce between specialists in three different cities.

Hoke County's growing dental demand

Hoke County has roughly doubled in population since 2000, driven in part by spillover housing growth from Fort Liberty and the broader Fayetteville metro. The local dental supply has not grown at the same rate, which is part of why so many Hoke County patients commute into Fayetteville for dental work. We are not the only option, but for implant-supported and full-arch denture cases, we are one of a small number of practices in the area with the case volume to do this work well.

Dr. Davis's Implant Credentials

For implant work, the credentials that matter are these: Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (FAAID), Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology (DABOI/ID), Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (MICOI), and Master of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO). Dr. Davis holds all five.

The DABOI/ID specifically is the gold standard board certification for implant dentistry in the United States, held by a small percentage of dentists nationally. Combined with the four mastership credentials, this represents roughly a decade of post-dental-school continuing education and supervised case work focused on dental implants and full-arch restoration.

Dr. Davis is also a US Army veteran. For Raeford patients with a military background or family connection to Fort Liberty, that connection often matters.

Denture Options

Removable full and partial dentures

Traditional removable dentures replace upper, lower, or both arches. Partial dentures fill in gaps when you still have some natural teeth. We design these to fit your bite, your face shape, and your budget. Plan on a few adjustments in the first six months as your gums settle into the new fit.

Implant-supported dentures

If you have worn traditional dentures and are tired of the looseness, slipping, or rocking, implant-supported dentures fix that. We place dental implants in your jaw and anchor your denture to them. Some snap on and off for cleaning. Others are fixed permanently and only your dentist can remove them.

Immediate dentures after extraction

If you need teeth removed and do not want to spend a healing period with no teeth, immediate dentures go in the same day as the extractions. They function as a temporary while your gums heal over the following months. We then reline or remake the final set after everything has settled.

All-on-4 full-arch

All-on-4 is one approach to fixed implant-supported dentures: four implants per arch hold a complete set of teeth. The angled placement of the rear implants often lets the prosthetic use the bone you still have, sometimes avoiding the need for grafting. Whether All-on-4 is right for your case depends on bone density, your bite, and your overall health. We do a 3D CBCT scan at consultation and tell you specifically what your case needs.

Cost, Insurance, and Financing

We give you a written estimate at the consultation, before any treatment starts. We accept most major dental insurance plans (call to confirm yours), Tricare Dental and FEDVIP for military families and retirees, and CareCredit financing for cases where insurance does not cover the balance. Our Friends and Family Membership Plan covers preventive care and offers a discount on procedures for patients without dental insurance.

Sedation Options

We offer three sedation options:

  • Oral sedation: a pill before your appointment. You stay awake but relaxed. Plan to have a driver.
  • Nitrous oxide: wears off within minutes. You can drive yourself home.
  • IV sedation: for full-arch implant placement, complex grafting, or serious dental anxiety. You sleep through the procedure and need a driver.

Getting Here From Raeford

Raeford to our office at 6402 Yadkin Road is about 17 to 20 miles and runs 25 to 35 minutes depending on traffic and which route you take.

The standard route is US-401 East (also called Raeford Road in Fayetteville). From downtown Raeford, US-401 runs straight into Fayetteville. About a mile or two before downtown Fayetteville, you turn north onto Bragg Boulevard or the All American Freeway, then connect to Yadkin Road via the road network on the Fort Liberty perimeter side. The practice is on Yadkin Road in the Bonnie Doone area of northwest Fayetteville.

Most Raeford residents already make the US-401 trip into Fayetteville for shopping, healthcare, or to visit Fort Liberty. The route is familiar and the drive fits inside that established commute pattern.

Use your GPS for live traffic and the final approach. The Raeford Road / US-401 corridor can slow down considerably during weekday afternoon rush, so for late-afternoon appointments plan 10 to 15 extra minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the drive from Raeford really practical?

For most Raeford residents, yes. The trip is about 25 minutes via NC-401 and fits inside the same Fayetteville commute pattern you probably already make for other things. Implant cases require multiple visits over several months, but they are spaced weeks apart, so the drive frequency is manageable.

How many appointments will I need?

A standard removable denture is 4 appointments over 4 to 6 weeks. An implant-supported case is 4 to 6 appointments over 3 to 6 months. We coordinate scheduling to consolidate visits where possible.

Do you accept Tricare or VA dental?

Call our front desk to confirm current acceptance. We work with military families and veterans regularly; the specific plan-by-plan acceptance is something we keep current with the office staff rather than the website.

Can you do extractions and implant placement in the same office?

Yes. Extractions, bone grafting (if needed), implant placement, denture fabrication, and follow-up care all happen in our Fayetteville office. The only exception is rare cases that require a hospital setting; we refer those out and stay involved.

What happens if my case turns out to be more complex than expected?

We tell you. If imaging at consultation shows something different from what you came in expecting (more bone loss than visible, a sinus issue, a previous restoration that needs to come out), we walk through the revised plan and the revised cost before any treatment starts. No surprise bills, no surprise procedures.
